Our next Age Group Tournament will take place at our Chess Cafe on Sunday, September 13th, 2026.
The Age Group tournament will be open for children born 2010 and younger. This tournament will not be FIDE Rated.
We will have 4 categories: U8, U10, U12 and U16. The children can join one of the following categories:
U08 – born 2018, or later
U10 – born 2016/2017
U12 – born 2014/2015
U16 – born 2010/2011/2012/2013
Children will play in two age groups:
Group 1: U8+U10
Group 2: U12+U16
In case of a small number of players, the groups will be merged.
Please note: players can choose to play in higher category if they wish to do that. For example, a player born 2016, who should play in the U10 group, can choose to play in U12 or U16 instead.
Important: The arrival time is 12:30.
We will award the winner players in each category with trophies. Gold and Silver medals will be given to 1st and 2nd Runner-ups and participation medals will be given to every player!
