On March 9th, at our Chess Club which is located on Sukhumvit 23 in Prasarnmit Plaza, we will host our first RKCC Youth Blitz Championship. The time control will be 5 minutes per player, with 3 seconds increment for each move. The championship will be open for all players, Red Knight members and non-members, who are born 2007 or later. We will have a FIDE Rated category and unrated categories.
Important
FIDE Rated means that the results in this category will be submitted to the World Chess Federation (FIDE) for purpose of rating calculations. Both rated and unrated players can join this category, provided that the players have a FIDE Id number. Players who would like to join but they do not have a FIDE Id number, contact us and we will try to assist you.
Unrated category means that the results will not be submitted to FIDE and there will be no changes in the players ratings after the tournament. Both rated and unrated players can join, and FIDE Id number is not necessary to join.
Schedule
- FIDE Rated Category: 10.30am – 1.00pm
- Unrated Categories: 2.00pm – 4.30pm
Since the FIDE Rated category is in the morning, and the unrated categories in the afternoon, the players who have FIDE Id numbers will be able to join both.

- Trophies for the top 3 players.
- Medals from 4th to 10th place.
Unrated categories
- Trophies for the best players in U7, U9, U11 and U13
- Gold medals for the 1st Runners-up in U7, U9, U11 and U13
- Silver medals for the 2nd Runners-up in U7, U9, U11 and U13
