Thailand National Championship and Blue Chevaliers Tournament

Congratulations to our juniors on their results in the tournaments that took place over the past few days at Central Chaengwattana.

Nina and Pine placed in the top 10 players in the Thailand National Women Championship and the Thailand National Open Championship respectively, a big step forward for both of them. Pine also bagged new 71 ratings points, a suitable reward for the well-played tournament. Arush got some tough opposition in the last two rounds which moved him away from the top, but overall he did well and picked up some ratings too.

Coach Riste with the Best Junior and Best under 1700 (rating) players in the Expat Tournament, Ian and Richily.

In the Blue Chevaliers Expat Tournament, Ian and Richily shined. Ian collected the Best Junior award and Richily the Best Player below 1700 rating points award. They won 66 ratings points each.

Congratulations also to Valeriia who fought bravely on her first ever classical chess tournament!

We would like to thank the organizers, the Thailand Chess Association and the Blue Chevaliers on the excellent organization.

Last but not least, congratulations to our very good friend, International Master Oleg Badmatsyrenov on winning the Blue Chevaliers tournament. IM Oleg will be joining the Red Knight Rapid FIDE Rated Tournament on April 23rd. The registrations for the tournament are still open here: https://redknightchess.com/fide-rated-rapid-registration.
