Our monthly FIDE Rated Rapid & Blitz tournaments will continue at the Chess Club on May 25. For the next tournament, we increased the prize fund from 10,000 to 12,000 baht. As usual, our goal is to have a good mixture of very strong players and talented juniors. The tournaments are FIDE Rated. Unrated players are welcome, provided that they have a FIDE Id number, and this is a great opportunity for them to win their first official ratings.
Before you register, we advise that you scroll below the registration form and read all the important tournament details, including the schedule and the payment and cancellation policy.
Permissions
By registering for the tournament you give consent that you might appear on a promotional photo or video materials that will be published on our website and/or social media pages. Where the players are minors, their parents accept this condition by registering their children.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. These Regulations are last updated on February 1st 2023 and will be applied to all Monthly Rapid and Blitz FIDE Rated Tournaments that Red Knight Chess Club will organize this year.
2. The tournaments take place once a month, on a Sunday, at Red Knight Chess Club. The date of each tournament is published in advance on our Facebook page.
3. All players who have FIDE Id Numbers are eligible to play. However, the organizer keeps the right to refuse entry to a player without necessarily providing a reason.
4. Players who do not have a FIDE Id Number yet but they wish to play, can contact the organizer for assistance.
5. The number of players is limited due to the capacity of the venue and the registrations will be closed once the maximum number of players will be reached.
6. The organizer will allow a small number of unrated players in the tournament, thus giving a chance to unrated players to win ratings.
SYSTEM AND TIME CONTROL
7. The pairings will be done with the Swiss Manager program. The tournaments will be played by Swiss Pairing System.
8. The time control for the Rapid Tournament is 15 minutes per player with 5 seconds of increment per move. The time control for the Blitz Tournament is 3 minutes per player with 2 seconds of increment per move.

CASH AWARDS
11. The prize fund for the Rapid Tournament will be 9000 THB, divided in 4 prizes:
- Winner 3000
- 2nd place 2500
- 3rd place 2000
- Best Junior 1500
12. The prize fund for the Blitz Tournament will be 3000 THB, divided in 3 prizes:
- Winner, 1500 baht
- 2nd place, 1000 baht
- 3rd place, 500 baht.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
13. Players must register through the online registration form. QR code will be published on our website and FB page.
14. Before submitting the registration, please complete the payment and upload a screenshot, a photo or a PDF proof of your payment. You will not be able to submit the registration form without uploading the file.

15. Our staff will confirm your registration and payment by contacting you or by updating
your name on the chess-results list of players.
REGISTRATION FEES STRUCTURE FOR THE RAPID TOURNAMENT
16. The registration fees will be structured according to the latest Rapid FIDE Ratings of the
participants. Players who don't have Rapid rating, can use their Standard Fide Rating. Players who have only Blitz rating will be considered unrated.
- Players with rating 2200 or above, FREE
- Players with rating from 2000 to 2199, 400 baht
- Players with rating from 1800-1999, 600 baht
- Players rated below 1800, 800 baht
- Unrated players, 1200 baht
REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE BLITZ TOURNAMENT
17. 300 baht all players
REFUND POLICY
18. The fee is non-refundable.
19. The registration fee cannot be used for the next or any other tournament.
20. The registration fee cannot be transferred to another player.
PHOTOS AND MEDIA
21. By registering for the tournaments, you accept that your face may appear on photos and videos made during the tournament, which may be published on our website and our social media pages. Where the players are minors, their parents accept this condition by registering their children.
