Our next FIDE Rated Rapid and Blitz Championships are coming up on December 15th. The location is at our Chess Cafe, located on the ground floor of Bambini Villa, on Sukhumvit 26. The Rapid Tournament will start at 9:30 and it will finish at 17:00. The Blitz Tournament will take place in the evening, from 18:00 to 20:00h.

INVITATION
Red Knight Chess Club has the honor to invite you to the End of the Year FIDE Rated & Blitz Championships that will take place at Red Knight Chess Club & Cafe, located on Sukhumvit Soi 26 in Bambini Villa.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 The tournaments will take place at Bambini Villa, which is located on Sukhumvit Soi 26.
1.2 All players who have FIDE Id Numbers are eligible to play. However, the organizer keeps the right to refuse entry to a player without necessarily providing a reason.
1.3 Unrated players who do not have a FIDE Id Number yet but they wish to play, can contact the organizer for assistance.
1.4 The number of players is limited due to the capacity of the playing area and the registrations will be closed once the maximum number of players will be reached.
1.5 FIDE Laws of Chess will apply. Players are expected to be familiar with the FIDE Laws of Chess.
2. SYSTEM AND TIME CONTROL
2.1 The pairings will be done with the Swiss Manager program. The tournaments will be played by Swiss Pairing System.
2.2 The time control for the Rapid Tournament is 15 minutes per player with 5 seconds of increment per move. The time control for the Blitz Tournament is 3 minutes per player with 2 seconds of increment per move.

3.2 BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIP
17:30 Confirmation of presence.

3.3 IMPORTANT:
Players are obligated to arrive on time and to confirm their presence for both tournaments in the time frame that is allocated for this in the schedule. Players who will arrive after the pairings are made will have to skip the first round.
4. AWARDS
4.1 The prize fund for the Rapid Tournament will be 25,000 baht, divided in 6 prizes:
10,000 baht - Champion
6,000 baht - 2nd place
4,500 baht - 3rd place
3,000 baht - 4th place
2,000 baht - 5th place
1,500 baht - 6th place
1,500 baht - Best Junior player (Born 2006 or later)
1,500 baht - Best Player rated below 1600 RAPID FIDE , or unrated. Eligibility for this award:
- Players with RAPID FIDE Ratings below 1600, regardless of their Standard FIDE Rating.
- Players who do not have a Rapid FIDE Rating, but have a Standard
FIDE rating below 1600.
- Players who don’t have both Rapid and Standard FIDE Ratings.
- Blitz FIDE Ratings are irrelevant for this purpose.
- The eligibility will be based on the December 1st FIDE Rating List.
- One player can win only one award.
4.2 The prize fund for the Blitz Tournament will be 5000 THB, divided in 4 prizes:
2,000 baht - Champion
1,500 baht - 2nd place
1,000 baht - 3rd place
500 baht – Best Junior player (Born 2006 or later)
5. REGISTRATION FEES
5.1 REGISTRATION FEES STRUCTURE FOR THE RAPID TOURNAMENT
- Players with Rapid FIDE Rating of 2300 points or above, FREE Entry
- Players with Rapid FIDE Rating from 2200 to 2299, 400 baht
- Players with Rapid FIDE Rating from 2000 to 2199, 600 baht
- Players with Rapid FIDE Rating from 1800 to 1999, 800 baht
- Players rated below 1800, 1000 baht
- Unrated players, 1200 baht
- Players who don't have Rapid FIDE rating, but have Standard FIDE rating, will enter with their Standard FIDE rating.
- Players who have only Blitz FIDE rating will be considered unrated.
5.2 REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE BLITZ TOURNAMENT
- 300 baht for all players regardless of rating.
6. REGISTRATION PROCESS, PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
6.1 In order to submit the registration, you will need to upload the proof of payment in the registration form that you will find on this link: redknightchess.com/chess-cafe. You can upload a screenshot, a photo or a pdf file of the pay slip. You will not be able to submit the Registration Form without uploading the proof of payment.

6.3 The organizer will close the registration when the maximum capacity of the playing area will be reached.
6.4 The registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
7. PERMISSIONS
7.1 By registering for the tournament, you give consent that your face may appear on a promotional photo or video materials that will be published on our website and/or social media pages. Where this applies to a minor, the parents give consent by submitting the registration form.
